I am sorry to read of your experiences and that you felt you had no other option but to go to another hospital for treatment. I am pleased to read that you were able to receive appropriate pain relief. I hope you are feeling much better. We are seeing an increase in the number of patients to our hospitals which means our patients are having to wait much longer in our Emergency Department than we would like. We fully appreciate and acknowledge this does make for a positive patient experience. Please be assured we are doing everything we can to reduce the waiting time in the department and I will share your feedback with the team. Thank you again and I hope you are recovering well. ★ Rated 1 star out of 5 by Anonymous - Posted on 17 April 2024 My daughter has been on the waiting list for an appointment for a while now, we were told she was high on the list due to her age. After chasing up the appointments team we were told she should have been seen in January, we are now in April! Now we have had 2 appointment through that has been both of which have been canceled at short notice for "Unforeseen circumstances" and we have been told "we will be in touch to rebook". Considering she should have been seen in January this feel like a kick in the teeth to be forgotten about for 4 months and now had multiple appointments cancelled. The longer this goes on, I wonder how much she will suffer. Thankfully she was rushed through for hearing aids and they are separate department, she could have been so far behind in school without Audiology! ★★★★★ Rated 5 stars out of 5 by LINDSAY CROOKS - Posted on 09 March 2024 I took my 6 year old daughter to A&E today (9/3/24) the nurses, doctors and healthcare staff were amazing with her and could not have done more. There was only one doctor on in the children’s a&e and he was pushed to the limit which then has an impact on nurses, assistants etc. we were dealt with professionally and in the best manner which I can’t fault at all but you can see that they have limited staff and waiting for doctors has a huge impact on the other staff as well as the doctor. I believe that the staff that work in these departments are under valued and over worked but you can’t tell by the value they place on the patients! I would call out every single member of staff on duty today across the day shift and into the night shift as being amazing! The wait wasn’t ideal but that is no fault of the staff it’s the fact the NHS needs funding and support. When I arrived I was very concerned about the welfare of my child but the staff acted quickly managed the situation and ensured that we were both ok. Thank you everyone Visited Accident and emergency services on March 2024 Report as unsuitable

Your feedback will be widely shared with the team. I know how delighted they will be to read of how they provided excellent care and treatment to your daughter. ★★★★ Rated 4 stars out of 5 by Terry Gatenby - Posted on 01 April 2024 I was admitted to A&E Resus early hours 26/03 with a severe asthma attack which sent my heart racing to dangerous levels for several hours. The terrific staff there brought me back from the brink and got me stable enough to move to Gate 12, then on to gate11 later and I was there for 5 days in total. I owe an immense debt of gratitude to all the wonderful, dedicated staff in all these departments - I know i would not be here now without their dedication, skills and medical care. I must point out that these amazing people did their jobs so well despite working under enormous pressure. There was a woeful shortage of beds, with many sick people having to wait in corridors for many hours, at least while I was there. We often hear complaints about the NHS these days, but for my own part, I can find very little to complain about. I thank you all again for the care I received Visited Accident and emergency services on March 2024 Report as unsuitable
